Easy Time Reports ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Easy Time Reports mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the App. By creating an account or using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register we collect your chosen username, first name, last name, and email address.
Credentials: Your password is never stored by us in plain text. Authentication is handled through Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cognito, which stores credentials in a secure, hashed form.
Job and work data: Information you enter about maintenance jobs, customers, employers, templates, and scheduled tasks is stored locally on your device and, where applicable, synced to our backend services.
Device information: We may collect basic device identifiers and operating-system information needed to deliver push notifications or background task updates.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your user account.
To enable the core features of the App (job tracking, scheduling, reporting).
To send you email verification and security codes via AWS Cognito.
To improve the reliability and performance of the App.
To comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with the following categories of third parties only to the extent necessary to operate the App:

Amazon Web Services (AWS): Cloud infrastructure and Cognito authentication service. AWS processes data in accordance with its Privacy Notice.
Service providers: Other vendors that help us operate backend systems, all bound by confidentiality agreements.
Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services. Job and work data stored on your device remains there until you delete the App or clear its data. You may delete your account in the Easy Time Reports app from Settings, or review the public instructions at /delete-account.html.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted transmission (TLS), hashed password storage via AWS Cognito, and secure local storage via Expo SecureStore. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure; however, we strive to protect your data using commercially acceptable means.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by adults and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data.
Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
